Re: Elizabeth Bostick, wife of William Arnold
I need some helps to obtain a solid proven record to show that Mrs. Elizabeth Arnold was the daughter of either William Bostick or John Bostick of Goochland County, VA.She was born in about 1705 in unidentied county in Virginia. Some of the Arnold genealogists claimed to say that she was born in Giles County in either Tennessee or Virginia.Based on the county history records in both states, Giles County was not formed until after 1800's which is not possible for Elizabeth to born there. Also, some Arnold genealogists claimed to say that Elizabeth was a Bostick even though her husband, William Arnold (b: 1700 in VA; d:1774 in Cumberland Co, VA) had a deposition will for late William Bostick in 1740. Elizabeth Arnold was not named in the deposition will regardless of her maiden name as Bostick or not. They were neighbors to families of William Bostick and John Bostick in mid 1700's based on county deed records which gave a possible clue to some Arnold genealogists.
I would appreciate it very much for any information that you may have on Mrs. Elizabeth Arnold whether she was a Bostick or not.
Thank you,
Rena Jo Arnold
