Fannie Bostick Tharp was the daughter of Reubin F. & Sarah Riggs Bostick.She was the granddaughter of Francis & Lucy Palmer Bostick.Here is what I have on her parents, her siblings and her.She is listed as #J below.

(b. 3-16-1832, Halifax Co., VA/d. 4-9-1902, KY).Bd. Palmer Cem., Hart Co., KYMd. 4-24-1861 in Weakley Co., TN to Sarah J. Riggs (b. 7-26-1844, Weakley Co., TN/d. 4-3-1890), d/o Col. Benjamin A. Riggs (b. 2-4-1805, VA /d. 5-31-1871, Palmersville, TN) & Mary Palmer (b. 3-30-1824, TN/d. 7-14-1846, Palmersville, TN).Mary’s parents were Smith Palmer & Elizabeth ?.Their children were all b. in Palmersville, Weakley Co., TN.Reubin lived with his parents in his native state until age 23.In 1856, he went to CA via Cuba, the Isthmus of Panama, and up the Pacific Coast, making the voyage in 33 days.He stayed in the west nearly 2 years and worked in the gold mines.He returned home in 1-1858.When he married, he was a clerk in the dry goods store of W. J. Powell in Como, Henry Co., TN.He relocated the following year with his father-in-law to Palmersville, where he resided until death.He owned 216 acres of land and was involved in politics as a Democrat.Since 1870, he served as Magistrate of the 5th Dist., was a Mason, and a member of the I.O.D.F.His wife & daughter, Mary, were members of the Missionary Baptist Church.His daughter, Lucy, joined the Christian Church.Issue: Mary (b. 1862); Comodore (b. 1866); Edwina (b. 1868); Riggs (b. 1871); Oliver (b. 1874); Samuel (b. 1876); Joe (b. 1879); Charlie (b. 1882); Emma (b. 1884); Fannie (b. 1889); Lucy (b. 1864); John (b. 1825); Samuel (b. 1824); and Frank.Issue of Reubin & Sarah:

RIGGS BOSTICK (Reubin/Sarah Riggs) (b. 6-19-1871/d. 12-18-1952).Md. 11-16-1898 to Lilly May Rushing.The following news article may explain why Riggs left TN and moved to KY [paraphrased]:“It was reported that several fights occurred 2-1/2 miles south of Cuba.One took place Friday between RIGGS BOSTICK & Walter Bynum.After a skirmish & some lively demonstration, Mr. Bostick went home and got his shotgun and shot Bynum in the left side and lung.Bynum is in serious condition and may not recover.”
