Are you aware of the research of Mary Jones Ranci Boswell, in which she speculates that John Boswell, who is the progenitor of the Boswells of Charles and Prince George's counties, Maryland, came to MD, not directly from England, but by way of Virginia, where he lived in York County and probably knew the Digges family. As I'm sure you know, Wm Digges had a short stint as Governor of VA and after that moved to MD. John Boswell had contacts with his son Edward in MD. John's widow, Mary, married George Pouncey, from the same part of Virginia. Mary J.R. Boswell has been a bit coy about broadcasting this line of thought since she doesn't feel she has the smoking gun. Still, her evidence is very enticing. See her book, Boswells of Charles County Maryland 1668-1811, copyright 2001, Mary Jones Manci Boswell, 220 Tartan Drive, Henderson, KY, 42420.
