JOSEPH BOTT. BANGALORE, EAST INDIAj

In researcbing my Turner Family Hx I came across a New Testament presented toJOSEPH BOTT at Bangalore, May 1829.All the entries were Turner Family and my great great grandfather Humphrey Turner was born at Bangalore in 1832.There was some sort of connection because Humphrey had a son Henry and Henry was named Henry Bott Gastrell Turner.The Turner family were from the Bristol, UK area.I appreciate any information re: a Joseph Bott either born in Indian or who lived there in 1829.Don't know if this had to do with East India Company for military.Thanks
