John W. Bottorff of Iowa 1837-1914
John W. Bottorff 1837-1914 was my Great-Grandfather.
He lived in Hedrick, Iowa, was on the school board of Blue Jeans school and also operated Bottorff Produce Co. for many years. He is buried in Ottumwa along with his first wife, my Great-Grandmother, Jane Reed. Having lived until 1914, being involved in local business and school board work, and married twice more after Jane Reed passed away, I have to believe that somewhere in the archives of Keokuk or Wapello County, the Hedrick Journal, the Ottumwa Courier, or someboday's attic there is a verfiable, reproducible picture of him. Can any one please help me? If anyone can come up with such a picture for me, I'll gladly make a nice donatation to your favorite historical or genealogical association. (I have a charicature of him that was in a Blue Jeans school reunion book, but it's just not the same.)
Also, I am trying to definitely connect this same John W. Bottorff to Jacob Joseph Bottorff 1785-1875 and Sarah Graves through John or Jonathon Bottorff 1819-? and Elizabeth Grimes. Help?
Thanks for your interest.
