Howdy.Great information! Would love to hear more about this family; several of my questions are:
Was Joseph or John Boultinghouse the father of Daniel (Captain, Sr.) who moved to White Co., ILL from Scioto Co. OH about 1809?
Who was the Joseph Boultinghouse killed by Indians in Edwards Co. ILL.(Edwards Co is just north of White Co.) at location now referred to as "Boultinghouse Meadows")- Capt. Daniel's father or a son (named after his grandfather or uncle)?
Were any of these guys, John or Joseph, active in the Indian Wars - St Clair's disasterous expedition or with the militia units who fought with General Wayne?
Any evidence of who Daniel Boultinghouse's first wife's name?
How did Daniel Boultinghouse have the clout or military experience to be made a Captain of a mounted Territorial militia Company by the Governor of Ill. Territory during the War of 1812?
BTW, Alex, I appreciate all your work in researching and sharing data about this family!Thank You!
