Don,
Just reading thru the old postings. You know, I too have wondered what proof could be found that supports the theory of Elizabeth Brack being the wife of Lioney. The only thing I have been able to dwell on is that I found that George Brack named his son George W. Brack, and it looks like, from census, that he too did the same. It seems to me that the name George W. runs in our Boutwell lines as well for a few generations. I have found no other names that link to anyone else mentioned in any of the estate sales for Lioney. I even tried finding out if there was some link to the Edward Holmes in Duplin Co., NC that Lioney bought three items from on May 22, 1761. If my memory serves me correctly, I think Edward had a daughter named Mary, as stated in his estate papers, so I kept digging, but without any luck. I have everything still packed from the Rita scar, so I'm not sure what box its in to look again.
Do you know who came up with Lioney's middle name being DeLaney? I have never found any documents with that name, or a middle name or initial for that fact.
I am currently writing a Boutwell book, that starts with Lioney down to my family. I will email you about it.
Take care,
Joy Boutwell McNally
