Sarah Bovard Black of Parker Twp., Pa.
Another try after several years--looking for any information on the family of Sarah Bovard Black. She was born in 1816, supposedly in Ireland. She married Robert Black, who was born in Donegal, Ireland in 1806.They are buried in Bear Creek Cemetery, Parker twp., Butler County, PA.
In looking at maps of Parker Twp., there are BOVARD lands next to Robert Black's.The first census they appear on is 1850.There are a ton of BLACK descendents from this couple and so far as I know, no one has been able to find anything on their parents, brothers, sisters, etc.
I know there were oil wells on Robert's properties and they were associated with Bruin, Pa.ANY information about the BOVARDS of Parker Twp. in Butler County and Armstrong Co. might prove helpful.BLACK and BOVARD come up in the same areas in searches of eastern Donegal.
There is some info I have foundabout a group of Scotch Irish from eastern Donegal, both Protestant and Catholic, who came to the Parker area in the late 1700's and early 1800's, but it is sketchy.
This is a huge brick wall.
