I am decended from Smith Bowling, he is listed on page 257 at the Historical Society in the book'THE REASON FOR THE TEARS,a history of Chambers Co,AL Your Harriet Bowling is listed.
Smith Bowling,b---d abt 1851,Milltown,Chambers Co,AL, m Mary---- Issue 1,Mariah Bowling m Gilbert Gay, removed to GA. 2.Ann Bowling m G.Jinks,removed to Butts,Co GA. 3.Jarrett Bowling m 1st Elizabeth Lawson,2nd Ann Eliz Jones, moved to Texas. 4.William Bowling m Malvina Stodghill, moved to Texas then Oklahoma(my ggrandfather)5.Fredrick S Bowling m Judith C Clark. 6. Lucy Ann Clark Bowling m Miller Wilfred Henry removed to Rusk,Texas. 7.John Bowling m Milley Phillips,Oct 13,1847, removed to Texas. 8.Henry Bowling m Samantha m Turner removed to Texas, 9.Larkin Sanders Bowling m Mary Jane Hoover,in Texas- Lived and died there.10 Rachel Harriet Bowling m Columbus Head removed to GA, their Issue. 1 Thomas J Head 2. I have a copy of Smith Bowling's will and Fredrick's will. Marriage records date's on some but not Harriet or Mariah. I am glad to make contact with a decendant of Harriet's, I have tried to find her with no success. Let me know what else you need and lets keep in touch.
