I am interested in your posting because it is the first one I have seen that links the Boyd and McAfee names together. My father's ancestors from Ballymoney in Ireland are related to both Boyd's and McAfee's.

When my Great grandfather died in Colac, Australia on 26 February 1875 Robert Boyd McAfee was at his bedside.I have been trying to find his connection with both the Boyd and McAfee families, but so far I have not been successful.Robert was born in Ireland 17 August 1840He married Sarah Luke, but I am not sure whether in Ireland or Australia.His father's name is James Boyd McAfee an his mothers maiden name is Jane.

I have traced Robert's decendents in Australia and I am willing to share it with you together with any information I have on both the Boyd and McAfee families.

Can you help me with the Irish connection.
