The Peter Boyer I have who was a son of William Boyer was born Abt. 1861 in Ohio.Does this agree with your records?
If you are having trouble tracing this family it is because they changed the spelling of their last name.
William Boyer's father, Peter (b. Abt. 1788) spelled his last name "Borrer".For some reason, all of his sons changed the spelling of their last name from "Borrer" to "Boyer".
