Philip BAYER was probably born about 1709 in Europe, if he is the one that arrived on the "Winter Galley," 5 S 1738, Philadelphia, PA, aged 29.He might have been son of Fredk. BAYER of Strassburg, but that is not proven, despite great effort. Philip made his will 5 Apr. 1781, pr. 1 May 1781, Lancaster Co., Book D, p. 4. (It doesn't name all his children.) Wife Susanna died by 1806, Dauphin Co.
