Elizabeth Wade White author of "Anne Bradstreet the tenth Muse" 1971 New York, Oxford Press, states on page 3 "Her imagined face, of which no contemporary likeness has survived, is grave and gentle, and ...." She is describing
a stained glass window at the church of St. Botolph, Boston, Lincolnshire. The window is what the artist imagined her to look like. He completed the window after the 2nd world war.Ms White was unable to discover any portraits of Anne Bradstreet during her research for this book.
