DONAHUE/ HARRELL and MORRIS BRADY line MTDNA and FFDNA test results

My direct line is out of a WILLIAM C. DONAHUE b. abt. 1816 ( ? TN perhaps ) who married MARY HARRELL on FEB. 14, 1833 in SPENCER Co. INDIANA and are my MATERNAL GGG GRANDPARENTS who later died in MO and AR.

Mary Harrell probably died before 1860 and her husband then married 2nd wife NANCY PASSMORE, and had children by her too. Before 1870 WILLIAM C. DONAHUE had married 3rd wife SARAH CLARK. The last census, I show for WILIAM DONAHUE is in name of WILLIAM C. DUNEHEW who had wife SARAH and is on the 1870 HOWELL CO. MO Census.

WILLIAM C. DONAHUE / MARY HARRELL's daughter SURELDA JANE DUNEHEW/ DONAHUE married SPENCER ALVIN MCAFEE on APR. 21, 1865 in MISSOURI. They too lived in HOWELL CO. MO in 1870- 1871 when my GG Grandmother MARY FRANCIS McAFEE was born to them in WEST PLAINS, HOWELL CO. MO on Jan. 24, 1871.

MARY FRANCIS McAFEE married 1st husband ( who is my line ) on March 31, 1889 in Baxter Co. AR. Their only daughter EDNA SURILDA WEAVER b. Jan. 02, 1890 is my MATERNAL GRANDMOTHER who md. SAMUEL BASCUM DAVIDSON on Nov. 22, 1908 in Harrison, Boone Co. AR.

We've never been able to find families for my GGG GRANDPARENTS William C. Dunehew/ DONAHUE and wife MARY HARRELL, so I did both the Full Gen. Sequence MTDNA on Maternal line of DAVIDSON/ WEAVER/ MCAFEE/ DONAHUE/ HARRELL and the FFDNA for both my Maternal Davidson lines and Paternal ROGERS lines which goes back on FFDNA results to about the 5th & 6th Cousin level on both your maternal and paternal lines in all your families.

My results on MTDNA are that I have two EXACT MATCHES to my MTDNA full sequence ( HVR1, HVR2, Coding region ) and one MTDNA EXACT MATCH is a male out of the following lines :

"Sarah Brady, b. about 1770 in Nelson Co., KY, was the daughter of Morris Brady (about 1750 - 1809 Hardin Co., KY) and Susannah (Pottinger?) (about 1750-1781 Nelson Co., KY) "


So in checking the files on SARAH BRADY I found she had a sister named MARGARET BRADY ( also dau. of MORRIS BRADY and SUSANNAH POTTINGER or VAN METER ) and that this very MARGARET BRADY had married JAMES HARRELL. This is close to the time period when my MARY HARRELL was born bet. 1815 - 1817 and later married WILLIAM C. DONAHUE in SPENCER Co. INDIANA who are my MATERNAL GGG GRANDPARENTS. HOWEVER, the census data on MARY HARRELL shows her born closer to 1817 than to 1815 and by then JAMES HARRELL had 2nd wife REBECCA ROGERS and their marriage records shows JAMES HARRELL listed as JAMES HARROD, if I recall. This REBECCA ROGERS is supposedly the daughter of a PHIlLLIP ROGERS of KY whose will listed his daughter as REBECCA HARROD, not HARRELL.

In looking at my FFDNA MATCHES results we see the same man who is out of SARAH BRADY / SAMUEL SNYDER is also my FFDNA MATCH as a distant cousin. His MTDNA shows us an EXACT MATCH on MTDNA results. We would be distant cousins when you realize that MARY HARRELL was born abt. 1815 - 1817 and his SARAH BRADY was born abt. 1770. So since SARAH BRADY md. SAMUEL SNYDER and my MARY is a HARRELL I naturally assumed my MARY HARRELL might be daughter of JAMES HARRELL who md. MARGARET BRADY the sister to SARAH BRADY SYNDER, but the date of death of MARGARET BRADY is before 1815, I would think if this is same JAMES HARRELL listed then as JAMES HARROD who md. REBECCA ROGERS on Sept. 27, 1815 in Nelson Co. KY.

I have done about all I can doing the MTDNA full sequence along with the FFDNA testing and the paper trails on these lines do not agree with others listing this same family.

I would greatly appreciate any help in determining when MARGARET BRADY HARRELL died as wife of JAMES HARRELL and when a daughter of JAMES HARRELL was born by name of a MARY HARRELL whom no one seems to list anyway.

MY DNA is pointing right to these lines as well as perhaps a VAN METER connection in my other FFDNA MATCHES too. I also have two men I match who have a VAN METER line of same VAN METER line as is SUSANNAH VAN METER.

Also my PATERNAL line is ROGERS but I doubt that PHILLIP ROGERS and his daughter REBECCA ROGERS who md. JAMES HARROD ( or HARRELL ) has any connections to my own PATERNAL ROGERS lines in NC by way of VA and are also DNA TESTED and match the ROGERS out of JOHN ROGERS b. 1617 England/ Wales who d. 1686 SURRY CO. VA.
