I have had much grief over this area of Bragg history; please check over your materials. Your message indicates that you believe Joesph Bragg of Old Rappahannock Co, VA, married to THE WIDOW of John Tapp on March 10, 1689 had a father named John Bragg.I know this reference, it comes down from the prefabricated Molly Newport/Thomas Bragg link, which is NOT true. Joesph's father has not been determined yet, LDS files cuurently assuming this are submissions from individuals and are not proven. In fact, they cannot be proved, the dates, the facts, the relationship to Christopher Newport are sheer fantasy. The article you sent refer to Mary settling the estate of her dead husband, John Tapp, in De 1685, (he died September 1685) then in 1731, it is Charles and Joesph, her two sons that were administrators of her estate. This link, record wise, is where the Bragg lineage, to date ENDS..Anyone who claims to have proof of John, William, Thomas Bragg, before Joesph in there lineage are quoting LDS submission files, and these files are NOT TRUE. Im working in English records and VA records to find true links, trying to alert people that they are seriously endangering their records by pursuing Thomas and Molly, and unless someone has a substantial parish record, passenger listing, or vital record, I seriously recommend scraping this line of search.
