I have been looking for information on Christiana Brailsford, also, but have not located much on the Skrines.I believe Christiana was a daughter of Morton Brailsford, II (d. 13 OCT 1803) and his wife, Mary "Polly" McCormack.
Possible brothers: Alexander Morton Brailsford (d.30 OCT 1825) and James D. Brailsford (d.17 SEPT 1826). Both were probably unmarried.
Possible sister:Harriett B. Brailsford (d.4 May 1845) married Joseph Bridgham Paine.
Possible sister:Annie Goodwin Brailsford (Elizabeth?) (d. 30 Sept 1839).Annie married Edward M. Beckett.
There are legal documents linking the Paine family to Alexander Morton Brailsford and the Becketts.A legal document dated Feb.21, 1833 lists Edward Beckett as a guardian of "Mrs. C. Skrine children".
I did locate a T. C. Skrine, 49 yrs. old on the Charleston, SC 1860 Census and a Thos. C. Skrine, Physician, on the Charleston 1870 Census.Christiana's son?
