Thanks so much for your response.Three of us were driving from Goathland to Arncliffe via Ripon.We were so close, I could not resist getting close enough to photograph the house.I didn't realize the house was so far back, I would have to trespass.One person said that we would probably never get that close again, and insisted we walk back.I am so glad we did.I descend from Adam Preston of Giggleswick who married Isabella Braithwaite.I have no idea of Isabella's parentage, but felt there might be some relationship.I live in Virginia and may or may not ever get back to that area again. I will check out the ordinance map link you gave me.Thank you.
