Received your message today.The one you are responding to was posted 18 months ago and I have found out a huge amount of detail since then.I have a master sheet and looked up "Samuel" brake.I have 4 listed:
Samuel, born 1834,Winsham, Somerset
Samuel Arthur, b 1888, Limington, Somerset
Samuel Foster, b 1863, Bristol, Avon
Samuel (son of above), b 1882,Barton, R., Avon,

Do any of these sound familiar??

My g-grandfather was born in Yetminster, and left home at the age of 14! to sign on with the Royal Fusiliers.He came to Canada in 1866, and remained.

If you have birth dates for the family you mentioned let me know and I will see if I can match them up with the names on my sheet.This sheet is by no means complete, and currently I have over 1000 names to search thru, manually!!
