Edwards, published 1990, indexed, page 132, Alvin DANIEL m. 25 Dec 1895 to Alice BRAKE b. 1860.Her sister Sarah Elizabeth BRAKE b. 1859 shows to have married Alva C. DANIEL 10 Apr 1894.These two girls were daughters of Elisha and Catherine (Unknown) BRAKE.He was b. 1827 and she 1823.Other children: Martha b. 1846, Nancy b. 1856 m. 01 Oct 1874 Joseph ROGERS, Harriet b. 1858, and Julie b. 1866.Elisha BRAKE was the son of Isaah BRAKE b. c1805, son of Joshua BRAKE b. 1785, son of James BRAKE b. 1766 NC d. aft 1850 in Stewart Co., TN, m. bef 1791 in NC to Phoebe MOORELAND b. bef 1775 NC d. befo 1850 TN.
