Alabama Brakefields

If anyone out there has traced any relation back to Walter Lee Brakefield of Athens, Alabama I would like any information at all; or just to hear from you. Walter was my grandfather. I live in Washington and as far as I can tell, there are no Brakefields here. I also have a cousin Broderick Brakefield who also lives in ALabama. If I'm not mistaken I think he is in Birmingham. Any info would be appreciated.
