Re: Judah (Judith) Fanning & Irvine Brandon & Micajah Sneed
Hi Mary, You're the second person to ask me that! ha.I'm reasonably sure I found it on Ancestry, and I usually note the source but my harddrive fried last October before I could save everything to my thumbdrive... so if I had a source, I've lost it.Then again, I might have found it in the Virginia Library Archives-I go there alot. Until I can find AGAIN where I found it the first time, I've removed the middle names of SMITH and ISABELLA from my public tree on Ancestry as I don't want to pass on misinformation.
In tracing out my Nancy Brandon Cralle & Irvine Brandon, Jr. b. 1791, I've noticed that one of his Irvine grandsons has a middle initial of "S".Some folks have tacked on a first name for Irvine -son of Irvine- of JOHN and have him born in 1784/5 and I'd love to know where THAT came from; much less having a birth year four years before his parents were even married!Irvine b. 1784/5 was the son of William's brother John who died in York District of South Carolina 1799 and left a Will.So it's reasonable to assume that that Irvine was living with his folks in York, SC at the time my Irvine was born in 1791... or shortly thereafter.
