Someone ask me if I knew Victoria Brannum birth date. This may help.
DUNKLIN DEMOCRAT KENNETT, DUNKLIN COUNTY, MO. FRIDAY, MAY 2, 1913.
Another Old Lady Gone.
Died, April 29th, at the residence of Wallace Cole, south of Hornersville, Miss. Elizabeth Brannum aged 80 years.
With the passing of Miss Brannum is gone one more of the remaining pioneers of Southeast Missouri. She is survived by a sister, Mrs Victoria Hornerwho, at the ripe old age of 93 makes her home with Bud Hill, a short distance north of Hornersville.
The parents of above named sisters were the late Mike and Angeline Brannum who settled 1 and 1/2 miles north of Hornersville in about the year 1828. They were the parents of fifteen children. The first born named Easter Brannum was born 1818; the second and only surviving child is Mrs. Victoria Horner born in 1820. Julia and Polly were twins. The youngest of the children was the late well known Tecumpsah Brannum, who died about 10 years ago.
There are many decendants of this family living in Dunklin County, among them being Mrs. Missouri Alread, daughter of Victoria Brannum who lives also at Joe Hills.
The Brannums, Holts,Bones,Neals and Coles, are among the grandchildren and great grandchildren.
