I saw you inquiry on Genforum concerning George A. Braswell.I have found the following:
From H. B. Braswell's book, George Anderson Braswell, born 1835 in SC.Was son of Asa Braswell (b. 1801), married Sarah in SC. Asa migrated to Dekalb County, Georgia during 1844.Other children of Asa and Sarah were Basil Anderson (b. 1833 SC); Priscilla Amanda (b. 1841 SC); James Henry (b. 1845 GA); Nancy Jane (b. 1849 GA).

Braswell says that his parents were Richard Braswell and Obedience Snow and traces the line back to Rev. Robert Braswell (1611-1668) who came to Isle of Wight, Va. in 1648. There are those who claim that this is not the case and have a good argument to show how it cannot be.

Braswell's book seems to have a good line from George on down.I have census records on George in Greenville County, SC in 1810.Asa in Dekalb County, Ga. in 1850 and 60.Harrison (George's brother) in Gwinnett County, Ga. in 1850 and on until his death. Also G. A. Braswell is listed in the 1860 Dekalb census.
