Sampson Braun - parents morristown VT

I am the 3rd great grandson of Sampson Burke Braun (1821 Morristown VT-1866 Elmore VT). The last name is what I am questioning now. I thought it was Brown as that was what his son used. Sampson was born about 1821 in Morristown VT. He married Rebecca Sarah Brackett. He was a farmer and lived in the Northern part of Cady Falls that became Morristown and is buried as Sampson Burke Brown in Elmore VT. Rebecca was one of three sisters that married a Brown/Braun/Brawn.
Can anyone shed light on this person and direct me to his parents?Some have said it is Absalom Jr. and Polly (Tuttle) Brown. The Tuttle genealogy does not list Sampson as a child of theirs and has other children listed at the time of his birth. Absalom Sr did have a Sampson brown name but that was not the correct person.
