A "Willy" Friedrich Brehm?
My german born grandmother and my swedish grandfather had a very good friend called Willy Friedrich Brehm. He may have been a sea captain and vivisted my grandparents house in Göteborg "Gothenburg" quite often i can see in there guestbook. Where he of course writes in german 8which I am not good to read). Do anyone know who he was? he writes himself "Willy", but in some of the greeting the Friedrich Brehm is written below. These thanks for a lovely stay and other greetings etc. in the guestbook are written in the 1930´s beforethe WW2.
I do also remember my father mention a german Sea Captain, visiting them that he had asked about what was going on in Germany at the time...and this Captain had said "it is a madhouse, Harald (my fathers name) a madhouse" 8he probably said it in german though...grin). I wonder if it is the same man...he seems so nice in his way of writing his greeting, so I hope it is...
Sincerely yours: Steve
