Nancy,
Thanks so much! Where did you find the info on Samuel's children? I'm hoping it wasn't some of my info that I have out there. I also found a William Brewer as a son, but no birth date. Ezra and his second wife Nancy Kerr moved to Sullivan County with the Margison clan in 1850 had 7 children. I found a 1856 map showing where they lived.
The Church Register of the Presbyterian Church of Hunter, NY
lists the marriage of Ezra Magerson and Sally Brewer of Hunter in Nov 1839. But the church minutes lists her name as Sally Burns. Her grave at Evergreen Cemetery in the village of Tannersville only says "Sally Ann, w/o Ezra Margison, d. August 28, 1849, aged 28y10m17d". There was a William Burns who was an elder at Hunter Pres. at the time, but the Brewer family was numerous and Samuel was a neighbor of Ezra's father Martin in Hunter. So I've been tracking down both angles.
I'd be interested in checking out your sources.
Talk to you soon
