Daphne Bridges Clonce, 75, went home to be with Jesus on
February 26, 2013, at her daughter's residence surrounded
by her family.
Daphne was born July 13, 1937, in Greeneville, SC, and was
a lifelong resident of Kingsport, Sullivan Co TN.
Daphne was a charter member of Reservoir Road Baptist
Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul A. and Iva
Ruth Qullin Bridges; and her brother, Talmadge Bridges.
Daphne is survived by her husband of 53 years, Kelsey
Clonce, of Kingsport, TN; son, Mark Clonce and wife Mikki,
of Mt. Carmel, TN; daughter, Rebecca 'Becky' Hayes and
husband Ken, of Blountville, TN; one granddaughter, Amber
Alvis and husband Brian, of Rogersville, TN; one step-
granddaughter, Becky Thomas and husband Chris, of
Kingsport, TN; two great-grandchildren, Karah and Lydia
Alvis; two step-grandchildren, Gavin and Ethan Thomas; and
her lifelong friend, Geraldine Scalf, of Fall Branch, TN.
The family will receive friends Thursday, from 5 p.m.
until 7 p.m., at East Lawn Funeral Home, with funeral
services to follow at 7 p.m., in the funeral home chapel.
Graveside services will be held Friday, March 1, 2013, at
11 a.m., at East Lawn Memorial Park.
