Georgianna:I'm a BRIGGS from "another line."However, way back when I wasn't sure I was a Clement Briggs descendant, I ran into him all the time!
Here's what I know:There it extensive research on him....you are lucky!!The New England Historical Soc. has a bit on him; some genie societies have a bit on him; the Mormon library has some on him; there is a 2 vol. set of (yellow covered) books on him...they are thin, however; but they might give you what you need for a start.
I can't find my charts I printed out on Clement, but there is enough to fill a small notebook, at the LDS library!
From "Directory of Ancestral Heads 1620-1700, of N.E. Families" by Frank R. Holmes, it reads:
Clement BRIGGS: felsmonger, came from Southwarke, England, to Plymouth, MA, 1621; removed to Dorchester, MA, 1631, and to Weymouth, MA 1633.
Well, that should get you off the ground so to speak, unless you have this data already!
Then there is the Ships Passenger List, and the Coldham books...both have Clement in them, I believe.
