According to the 1892 publication DRAPERS IN AMERICA pg 120, Millie (Miliscent)Draper "m. OLIVER BRIGGS. They joined the Quakers. Had a large family". From other sources, Millie was born May 27, 1755 in Killingly CT; she moved with her family to Dover, Dutchess County NY in 1760. Dover was in the so-called Oblong and the Drapers were among the investors in a large tract known as Nine Little Partners. A large Quaker colony existed in the Oblong. Millie was daughter of Gideon Draper (1722-1778). Her oldest brother, William, apparently defected during the RevWar. The next-oldest brother, Ebenezer, assumed the head-of-household role and removed with remnants of his family to Butternuts, Otsego County NY in time for the 1800 US census.
