Thanks for your note--glad to hear someone else is looking in the same direction!
I found the Mary Briggs you are referring to both in some documents from the Gloucester County Historical Society and in the LDS records.Unfortunately, she died in 1765 so she can't be the one I am looking for (besides having the wrong parents!).The info I have from this Society is simply what they sent me by mail from the Briggs family file so I'm hoping you, as a Briggs researcher, may find something additional.(I'd be happy to send you what they sent me if that is the only reason you are goingto Woodbury).
My reference to Mary's parent's being John and Hannah is fairly weak--based on some notes in the Patrick family file at the Salem County Historical Society. As such, I'm open to other Mary's being the correct one (born about 1734 and married to Samuel Patrick).Francis and Rachel Stockton had a son John who married a Hannah but here again the dates don't work.
I heard about the Briggs in NJ and Pennsylvania book and hoped it would shed light on my problem but it may not based on what you said.Where did you find it?Is it in the LDS system.
