Research Findings: I have been unable to identify Willaim B. parents or connect him with other Brigham families in the Humphreys/Houston Co., TN area. I find several records related to James Brigance in1830-1850 where William B. Brigham/Brigance signed legal documents, such as for witnessing the sale of land. The 1820 Census indicates James Brigance had a son born ca 1810.This is the only son of James Brigance I have not been able to identify by name.
Questions: Was William B. Brigham really William B. Brigance, the son of James Brigance who was born ca 1810 in the Stuart/Humphreys Co. area?A younger son of James used the name Brigham even though, reportedly, he knew is father's name was Brigance.
