The Brights in Thomas Bourk's Co. of Dorchester MD lists Matthew(May 23 1743-1749) son of Matthew and Mary Bright says he died without heirs. His son Thompson or Tomson who must be Thomas listed in enrollment of company died, as Bourke paid for his coffin3 Feb. 1777.He was probably athe brother of James and Thomas?
Bourk also paid for coffin of Elijah Bright, son of James and Elizabeth on 12 Nov. 1776.
I think that my Thomas was brother of your James, but was not in MD in 1776. Maybe he wa had gone on to VA by then.
In looking at TN LAND GRANTS Thomas is first listed in 1815, and lastly in 1845; James 1810-1835. Who was the John Strother that he bought land WITH in 1810, 1811, 1822, 1824?
I do have other stuff, but my trip to Salt Lake is fast approaching and I want to foocus on Brights.Pat
