Dear Friends, I know you're all bright (get it!?) researchers, so I'm hoping for your assistance.I am seeking information re: William & Hanna Bright, who had a daughter named Hannah ca. 1837. Hannah, the daughter, married John Erwin, a miner, a native ofNorthumberland, England.John & Hannah's eldest 2 sons were born in Wisconsin, the next 2 or 3 in LaSalle, IL (in the mid-state).Eventually they settled in Southern Illinois, in St. Clair County. At least 2 children were born in St. Clair County, and the last, a son, James, was born in Rich Hill, MO, where this family of miners had gone, following news of discovery of lead, I believe.(Rich Hill was quite a boom town.) Hannah died in Rich Hill in 1887, and sometime later, the family returned to St. Clair County IL, and it's vast coal deposits. The birth certificates of sons Thomas (b. 1873) and Joseph (b. 1875) state that Hannah was a native of Pottsville or Pottsfield, PA, and that she was the mother of eleven children--I know only of eight.Does anyone have any information on William & Hanna??Perhaps Hannah was married before she married John Erwin???Their first child that we know of was born in 1858, so this seems unlikely. I have much information on this large family that I will gladly share. Thanks in advance!!
