ELLA M. BRIGHT, through her attorney S.A. Gates, has commenced an action against LOUIS BRIGHT for divorce. They were married on March 4, l89l, and plaintiff in her petition says she has ever since deported herself as a lady, and has treated the defendant with the utmost respect, love and kindness, seeking to promote his happiness and personal comfort, but that notwithstanding all this he has so far neglected and forgotten his marital vows and husbandly duty as to be guilty of the grossest and most revolting ignominy to insult until plaintiff's heart strings have been almost torn assunder with grief, remorse and sorrow; her peace of mind destroyed and her physical organization so shattered that she can no longer stand the great strain on her mental and physical organizations without serious impairment to her health and danger to her life. That such cruel and inhuman treatment consists in part in failure of defendant to provide for her the ordinary necessities of life, in using to her and in her presence vile and opprobrious language, in striking her and accusing her wrongfully of unchastity and infidelity to him. She wants a divorce and the custody of their four children, LENA, aged 9 years, MINNIE, aged 8 years, RAYMOND, aged 6 years and LELA, aged 4 years.
