I would seem that my BRIGHT Family followed the same early path of your BRIGHT line, i.e., NC-KY.
Census records indicate my great-great-great-great-grandmother Hannah BRIGHT GREY was born in NC and married in Mason Co., KY, according to OUR KENTUCKY ANCESTORS.
Hannah BRIGHT and Joseph GREY were married 01 January 1796 Mason Co., KY, and one Ebenezer BRIGHT witnessed the nuptials according the abovementioned book.Ebenezer could well be Hannah's father.
Joseph and Hannah's daughter Hannah married one Stephen HICKS in Sullivan Co., TN, and had ten children. Two of their daughters would become my great-great-grandmothers.Lucinda HICKS FINCHER was Mother's maternal great-grandmother, and Hannah HICKS NEIL-NEAL was Dad's paternal great-grandmother.
Further, the name BRIGHT was quite revered.Stephen and Hannah GREY HICKS had a son Stepehen Bright HICKS and the abovementioned Hannah HICKS NEAL had a Stephen Bright NEAL.
Hannah HICKS NEAL also would have a grandson Bright Neal BRUNER, a younger brother of my paternal grandfather.
Do you have more information on your BRIGHT line?I would like to correspond with you.Breaking open this line is of interest to me.
