Hi! I am the presiding Emcee for a group of 12 Kentucky, North Carolina, Virginia families that settled SW Lawrence County in the 1830's to mid 1840's.There is a reunion for all descendants of Bright/Brite that has been held since 1934 in Monett each September on the 3d Sunday.
Tobias's children are the Progenitor(s) of the Bright surname that settled pre-Lawrence County Mo..I understand the name was Bright but was changed to "BRITE" shortly after their arrival to North Barry County, Missouri.
