I descend from Ebenezer Bright, I believe. He either signed as consenting parent or was a sibling witness at the marriage of my maternal gggggrandmother, Hannah Bright to Joseph Grey in Mason County, KY, on 01 Jan 1796.
Source material included other Grey's marriages in Mason County, i.e., Mary Grey to John Long 26 Dec 1797, and Samuel Grey to Catherine Heflin on 14 Feb 1802.
Joseph and Hannah's daughter, Hannah Grey married Stephen Hix/Hicks 20 Dec 1821 in Blountville, TN, I believe.
. . . and two of Stephen and Hannah's daughters happen to be gggrandmothers on BOTH my parents sides of my family.
Lucinda Hix/ Hicks Fincher b 25 Dec 1824 was Mother's maternal ggrandmother, and Hannah Hix/Hicks Neil/Neal b 03 Feb 1831 was Dad's paternal ggrandmother.
Mother and Dad are third cousins!
You stated that you had extensive information about the BRIGHT surname.I wonder if the abovementioned Ebenezer and Hannah Bright are enumerated within your information.
