The information came from "Tennessee The Volunteer State" Vol 2, p.5.It is available through genealogylibrary.com.
Under John Morgan Bright, "John Morgan Bright, statesman, lawyer, born Fayetteville, Tenn., Jan., 1817, English and Welsh descent; son of James and Nancy (Morgan) Bright; paternal grandparents James M. and Margaret (Smythe) Bright......maternal grandparents John and Mary Hall Morgan....."
I'm not sure I even have a dog in this hunt.As I stated earlier, I am interested in finding the James Bright who fathered Morgan A. Bright, b. Dec. 24, 1833.It just seemed a possibility that there might be a connection here because of the name and the fact that Morgan Bright was born in TN.
Also in Goodspeed's History of Lincoln Co. TN you can find info on John Morgan Bright and his son, W.C. Bright, M.D.
I'll keep looking, but if you hear anything of a Morgan A. Bright, b. in TN d. in Alabama, let me know.
