They were Marshall Floyd, b. abt. 1813;William Barnett, b.Dec. 30, 1816, married abt. 1843 to Mary Cain; Carrie E., b. abt. 1819; Ophelia born 1825; Harriet, b. abt. 1835; Mary Frances, b. Oct. 25, 1837; and Amanda Caroline, b. abt 1838.William Barnett is my gg grandfather.The mother of these childrenwas Frances Berry, b. abt. 1790, and d. July 1865 in Clake Co., Ga. They were married August 29. 1809 in Oglethorpe Co., Ga.Samuel was born 1787 in Lynchburg, Campbell, Va.His father was William Brightwell, son of John Brightwell, one of the original emigrants from England, a community called Sothwell.My g grandfather was Charles Brightwell, b, 1844, DeKalb Co. ,Ga. and married to Margaret Caroline Ball, dau. of Peter Ball ((see records of Ebenezer Primitive Baptist Church,( records of church history at Mercer Univ.; Macon , Ga.)).The oldest son of Charles Wilson Brightwell and Margaret, was my grandfather, William Peter, who married Arah Drummond of Bartow Co., Ga.and moved to Texas around 1890.
