Keith, In addition to Jessee, Anderson, and Lucy Brightwell, I have found on Virginia Revolutionary War Records the following: Section III #6752 Powers, Lucy (Lives with Anderson Brightwell) Brightwell, Wm. Continental Line. Also Revolutionary War Records Virginia Section III (21) #6752 Brightwell, William (Lucy Powers, co-heir with Anderson Brightwell) Private War.
Revolutionary War Pension Index Letter B - Page 10 lists: Anderson 4:101; Betsey 4:101; Dicey 4:101; Lemuel 4:101; Milley 4:101; Nancy 4:101; Sally 4:101; and WILLIAM 9:80. If William died in 1805 with no widow or children, do you have any idea who collected his pension? Along with the marriages of Amy, Anderson, Barnett, Betsy, Nancy, Rachel, Rhoda, and Samuel; there are two for a William in Prince Edward, VA. One to Mary Young 30 Dec. 1800 and the other to Nancy Brightwell 05 Dec. 1804. This would seem to be the brother of Anderson who married Nancy Brightwell. Also, was Lucy's husband, Barnard Powers related to Rev. Pike Powers of Pittsylvania, VA? I would appreciate any information you can give me.
