No answers,just a few notes. Samuel married a Ms. Friend first.Archer is listed in Charlotte Co., Va census with family.He is 45 yrs. old,b. Ga.1860 census lists him as 56,b. Va.No Brightwells are listed on Georgia census before 1830.However,a Samuel Bright is listed in Oglethorpe Co. 1820 andSamuel Brightwellwitnessed a deed in 1813 Oglethorpe Co., was member Mars Hill Baptist Churchin Clarke /Oconee Co.and some children are listed in their records as well.Samuel and Frances are listed on Aug. 29, 1842.He died about three years later. In looking at the boundaries of Ga. Counties, you will find a rapid growth and splitting of countiesvery active from 1777 thru 1800at least. Wilkes 1777 and Franklin1784 (next to each other)were original counties. From Franklin came Jackson in 1796, Oglethorpe from Wilkes in 1793, Clarke from Jackson 1801 and Oconee from Clarke in 1875.
