Dear Terri, Again the pieces you are giving me are helping perhaps to validate so much of the oral family history we have been told. Cecily is very similar the one of the names of a gr gr grandmother (Cecilia) from that extended branch of the family. Cecilia Coward McGhee would have been loving neighbor and later mother-in- law of Hattie Lee Brigman McGhee, Henry Allen Brigman's daughter. Hattie would have been first cousin to this daughter Cecily Brigman Milton of Frances Drake Brigman. Supposedly Henry Allen's wife died while children were young. I believe this would have been Effie Martin but not completelt sure at this point. This kind neighbor Cecilia and her family were very helpful during a difficult time. Later John Logan McGhee son of this family of McGhees married Hattie Lee Brigman. While I know this name may be only coincidence it makes me have continued confidence in the clues that this oral history seems to hold. My line is as follows I believe: John Washington Strong Brigmanb. 1813 m. Charlotte Hinson Henry Allen Brigman b.ca 1842 m. 1. Effie Martin ( other dataseems to indicateanother wife also) 2.Lanie Cowart. Would welcome any addeddocumentation here of any other descendants of either possible wife. Hattie Lee Brigman McGhee ( McGee)b. ca 1860 m. John Logan McGhee Allina (Lena) McGhee(McGee) Covington b. ca 1910 m. Thomas Lincoln Covington Naomi Covington b. 1929 m. Neil Alford Elaine Covington Alford Jones b. 1952 (myself) Any other pieces you remember, no matter how slight will be greatly appreciated. I would be very interested in the descent ofyour Brigman line also. Again I welcome any corrections or additions,Terri, from you or any other Brigman descendant to these pieces of data as it is still very much a combination ofdocumented fact and perhaps some other data which is thesis yet to be proven or disproven.
