BRINKLEY Upson GA 1800s

My brick wall is WILLIAM BRINKLEY b abt 1815 SC?/GA?.
Married in 1842 in TALBOT GA.to ELIZA(Elizabeth) LLOYD(b. 1825 d. before 1850).Children John Richard Brinkley b. 1843 GA d. 1918 Gadsden county, FL , Miriam Temperance Tabitha Brinkley b. 1850 GA d. 1950.
Eliza died and William remarried widow? NANCY ANN BATTLES in 1855. They had 3 children together. F. M Brinkley b. 1856, J. M. Brinkley b. 1858, and Charles W. Brinkley b 1868.
WILLIAM BRINKLEY died after 1880 Cusseta, Chattahoochee county, GA. William is found in District 494 in Upson GA 1850 census, and in 1860 was still in UPSON county GA.
I suspect WILLIAM's Father is RICHARD BRINKLEY who received land in the Land Lotteries in District 494. BUT, I cannot connect the dots!
Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!
