Spivey, Thanks for suggesting the Hollingsworth cards. Actually I had already found them, and they have been very helpful with my research on the Heards and the Millers. I saw from your other messages that you are mostly interested in theBrinson family. I don't know of any other link to them than Abram Brinson, at this point. I do know that the Brinsons were very involved in the railroads in Screven Co. My husband's 2great-grandfather, Andrew Lewis Miller b 1809 Tn was a railroad manager in Wilkinson Co Ga in 1850,and I suspect that he and maybe his brother William were also involved with the railroads in Screven County. Andrew's son William Thomas Miller, my husband's great-grandfather, married a Dutton. The Duttons were connected the Foys, Hagins, and Brinsons.
I am really interested in what brought George Heard from Maine to Georgia to begin with. He was born into an old family there who were shipbuilders. He is the only one of his siblings to move to the South, though I think he had another relative, maybe a first cousin, who also moved to Georgia.
