On the 1830 census of East Baton Rouge Parish, LA is a Sherid BRITT. It could be a misspelling of Sherrod. The BRITT household looks like this:

Sherid Britt 0 1 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 || 1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 ||

One male of 5 to 10 yrs. of age, one female of under 5 and a female of 20 to 30 years old.

My interpretation of this is that Sherid is deceased but the household is still censused in his name, perhaps because his death was recent.

Can someone identify this BRITT, where he came from and who his parents were?
