Thomas Broaddus, oldest son of Edward, by his first marriage, like his father, spent his life in agricultural pursuits. He died suddenly at seventy years of age, never having removed from Caroline County. He was a soldier in the revolutionary war.
He married Ann Redd, by whom he had seven sons, Edward, Thomas, Shildrake, Mordecai, John, Richard, and Redd, and FOUR daughters, Catherine, Elizabeth, ANN, and Sarah.

HI Joe,
I am inquiring about the daughter ANN BROADDUS. Do you know when she was born and died and who she married?
I have an ANN BROADUS in my CHAPMAN line,
possibly married to JOHN P. CHAPMAN of Spotsylvania Co, VA. John was b. abt 1710 in Spotsylvania Co, VA d. 1775 Spotsylvania Co,VA. He married twice his first wife is unknown although, I suspect it is ANN BROADUS.
He produced 6 children between the years 1739 - 1754 with 1st wife then she died between 1754-1758. The 2nd marriage of John P. Chapman took place in 1759.
John's 5th child: BENJAMIN CHAPMAN named his 1st born child ANN BROADUS CHAPMAN b.9/18/1777 VA baptised 11/23/1777 VA. I believe Benjamin named her after his mother ANN BROADDUS, although this has not been proven yet.
If you have any information that could help this theory please share it with me. I will pass it along to other's if this clears up our mystery. Thank you!
