Re:Bronners of Massachusetts
This message may be applicable to both Donna and Sharon. My name is Edmond J. Bronner, son of James Emil Bronner born in Champlain, NY.He is the one of eight children born to Vital Antoine Bronner and Felicie Amelie Bronner (first cousins).Childrens names are: Marcelle Felicie, Antoine,Madeline, Louise, James, Jeanne, Armande (will be 103 yrs old on July 11, 2007, and Adrienne. They were born and lived in Champlain, NY,; Holyoke, MA and I believe some descendents lived and some currently live in Belchertown, MA.From my records my grandparents emigrated from France, primarily the Alsace-Lorrain region. This area buts the German border, and there was much intermarriage over the years. That is why my research primarily results in German or Swiss contacts, not of my family. My family spoke French and considered themselves French and were very strong Catholics.I have some info on my great-great-grandparents dating to 1801.If we are relayted, thia would truly be a breakthrough since I have not actively pursued this genealogy because of the deadends that I experienced.
