The Greorge Brooks that I found was borned in S.C 1804 went Chambers Co. Al in 1836 or 1837 bought land on Ridge Road and died there in 1893.He married Martha???? borned in S.C in 1805. She die in 1888.Children were John F, Polly E, Caroline, James, Sarach, Floyd T. borned in S.C, Henry, Joseph, Mary borned in Alabama.George and Martha buried in Liberty Cemetery, Lee County, Al.His second wife was Carrie Haynes.Floyd T. Brooks Co. G. 37 Ala, Inf. C.S.A.This came out of the book Lee County and Her Forebears.
My Grandmother was visited by Henry Brooks and a Mary Brooks don't know who thie wife or husband was.My mother didn't know.
This is the only one I have found that would fit my Joseph Brooks borned 1840 but I haven't found anymore info on this family. In the 1900 census Cullman Co. Joseph stated that his father was borned in S.C.I am thinking that Henry and Mary Brooks came with Joseph and his 4 children from Randoloph/Chambers? to Cullman or the surrounding areas could be Blount Co, Marshall Co., or Morgan Co. we liver where all four counties join together.I am going to look at the the other counties census and see if I can come up with my other names.
I have a cousin in Georgia that has all the information on Tandy Daniel's family she has been doing this for some time. One of Jefferson Daniel grandchildren lives about 25 miles from and she has done lots of genalogy on the Daniel family. The one in Georgia does not have a computer but I think the other one does will have to find out.
Maybe we can find out the missing links.
