Dear Martha,
I am trying to sort out the Browders..........My grandfather was Robert H. Browder dob 1872 in McNairy Co. TN
his father was Augustus Browder dob1828 (prob. N. C.).From there the waters get a little murky.I think Augustus' father was Richard Browderson of Isham Browder dob cir1774, son of Isham Browder dob cir 1740, son of Arthur Browder dob cir 1715, son of John Browder 1680, son of Edmund Browder 1650.
It seems the Browders had several names they liked enough to use every generation. This along with the scarcity of records has made this difficult. But I would like very much to trace this line back to England or wherever they came from.
Going through a ton of info I do find an Isham Browder in Va. that was active in the Rev. War.Would love to know if this is my Isham.Do you know of any other Browders that fought in this war?
Thanks for any help you can be to me in this puzzle.
Sincerely,
Joy Alexander
