Some show that the James Brown who married Elizabeth Baldwin was the father of the younger James Brown who married Elizabeth Poole.Others, however, show the son of James and Elizabeth (Baldwin) Brown was the younger James Brown who married Catherine Wood/Woods.I note that some show a daughter of James and Elizabeth (Baldwin) who married into the same Wood/Woods family as did the above James Brown....so that makes me SUSPECT that the James Brown who married Catherine Wood/Woods was probably the actual son of James and Elizabeth (Baldwin) Brown.
There was a Henry Brown who was supposedly born in the 1680s in Middlesex Co., VA, and the list of children that I have seen for him and his wife Elizabeth is: James Brown, William Brown, Gaffield Brown and Henry Brown "Junior."Some have shown the referenced son named James Brown as the man who married Catherine Wood/Woods, but I am now wondering if the son of Henry and Elizabeth named James was actually the James Brown who married Elizabeth Poole.
Can anyone prove any of the above, one way or the other?James Brown and Elizabeth Poole had a son who was named Hezekiah Brown, and Hezekiah was associated in Culpeper Co., VA with a man there named Garfield Brown. Some have suspect that Garfield Brown was the same man who is shown above as Gaffield Brown (i.e., the son of Henry and Elizabeth Brown). Can anyone comment on that?We know that Garfield Brown in Culpeper Co., VA was a member of DNA "Group 47" at the Brown Genealogy Society DNA testing project website.
Any/all comments on the above would be greatly appreciated.
